Cigar wrapper types explained

The wrapper is the outer leaf of a cigar, and it shapes much of its look and flavor. Wrappers are usually described by color, from light Claro through Natural and Colorado to dark Maduro and Oscuro, and by the seed or region they come from, such as Connecticut, Habano, Corojo, Sumatra or Broadleaf.
